Joey made the news! Talking about what life is like with T1D.

Joey on ESPN radio at the Mallards game in Madison. August 2013.

Joey accepted check from NovoNordisk on behalf of ADA.

We got to meet Bret Michaels!  It was so exciting and he smelled very good.

And Dominique Wilkins!  At the Slam Dunk basketball camp in Milwaukee, WI August, 2013.

Joey and Professional football player and two-time Super Bowl ring holder Kendall Simmons were both guest speakers at the 2013 ADA Gala. Kendall is wonderful! My son Tony and Kendall compared rings!  Kendall’s ring was a superbowl ring, Tony’s his 2012 State Championship ring. Tony plays Center on the O-line for Catholic Memorial.

Our family loves to fund raise for a cure,  so we old an annual car wash and we volunteered on behalf of the ADA at our State Fair Corn Roast.  We can’t wait to work the corn roast again this year.

We were so excited to finally meet Michelle Alswager, Jesse’s Mom! We admire her for continuing to be a strong advocate for type 1 diabetes! ❤️

Today, Sunday, May 18th. We are hosting an ADA Family Link event for newly diagnosed families, and 1st time campers at Camp Lakota! Joey will say a few words before the bowling event starts!20140518-164236-60156925.jpg

As you can see we don’t let diabetes get us down! We kick it’s butt!
